Pevonedistat and Ibrutinib in Treating Participants With Relapsed or Refractory CLL or Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of pevonedistat when given together with ibrutinib in participants with chronic lymphocytic leukemia or non-Hodgkin lymphoma that has come back or has stopped responding to other treatments. Pevonedistat and ibrutinib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.

Nivolumab and Ibrutinib in Treating Patients With Relapsed, Refractory, or High-Risk Untreated Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma, or Richter Transformation

This phase II trial studies how well nivolumab and ibrutinib work when given together in treating patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia, small lymphocytic lymphoma, or Richter transformation that has come back after a period of improvement (relapsed), does not respond to treatment (refractory), or is at high risk of spreading and has not been treated. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as niolumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Ibrutinib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving nivolumab together with ibrutinib may kill more cancer cells.

NK Cells in Cord Blood Transplantation

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best way to give natural killer cells and donor umbilical cord blood transplant in treating patients with hematological malignancies. Giving chemotherapy with or without total body irradiation before a donor umbilical cord blood transplant helps stop the growth of cancer cells. It may also stop the patient's immune system from rejecting the donor's stem cells. When the healthy stem cells and natural killer cells from a donor are infused into the patient they may help the patient's bone marrow make stem cells, red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.
