This study series consists of three related studies and aims to explore and describe many important elements of Alopecia areata over three key areas: (i) the current epidemiology of Alopecia areata, (ii) the prevalence and incidence of psychiatric co-morbidities in people with Alopecia areata and (iii) the prevalence and incidence of autoimmune and atopic conditions in people with Alopecia areata.

Evolution and Treatments of Chronic Inflammatory Systemic Diseases

Patients with chronic inflammatory diseases (CID) followed in gastroenterology and rheumatology have physiopathological, epidemiological and therapeutic focal points. The pathologies concerned are inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD - Crohn's disease [MC] and ulcerative colitis [RCH]), and chronic inflammatory rheumatic diseases (rheumatoid arthritis [RA] and spondyloarthritis [SpA] including psoriatic arthritis [PsA]). Presenting one of these diseases is associated with a higher risk of having a second inflammatory pathology, whether the latter is ophthalmological, dermatological, rheumatological or gastroenterological. An association of extra-articular manifestations is observed in 10 to 30% of patients with SpA, and an association of extra-intestinal manifestations is observed in approximately 30% of patients with IBD. No common database for chronic systemic inflammatory diseases currently exists in France.

APACHE Cohort (A Psoriatic Arthritis CoHort)

Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a chronic inflammatory rheumatic disease, belonging to the wide spectrum of spondyloarthritis, but with the particularity to be associated with personal psoriasis or familial psoriasis. PsA can be a very disabling disease through progressive and irreversible joint damage. Long-term functional prognosis of patients with PsA is correlated with the presence and severity of the radiographic joint lesions of the disease. However, the proportion of patients who will develop those peripheral joint damages is not yet known and less over the factors which are associated/involved in such an aggressive pattern of the disease. Early identification of this subgroup of patients is particularly important for determining early "intensive" treatment, strict management with a Treat To Target approach, and identification of new treatments with a stronger structural effect. The main objective of this prospective 10 years cohort is to describe the 5 years structural (radiographic) severity of recent PsA with recent peripheral arthritis.Some of the secondary objectives are to describe the 10 years structural severity within those patients, and to determine the predictive factors of those 5 and 10 years radiographic lesions (genetic, environmental, clinic, therapeutic factors). APACHE will provide a unique longitudinal standardized database concerning patients with PsA with very recent peripheral arthritis. Research projects which will based on those collected data should allow to identify the mechanisms of aggressive joint damage, to highlight mew treatments targets, to better describe the burden of the disease, to test previous or develop new assessments tolls, to develop early diagnostic criteria

Impact of Concomitant MTX on Efficacy, Safety and Adherence of Ustekinumab-treatment in Patients With Active PsA

Methotrexate (MTX) co-medication can improve the therapeutic effect of biological therapies (e.g. Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) -inhibitors) in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), but its role in Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) remains unclear. No data from Randomized Clinical Trials (RCTs) are available to address the questions whether add-on of MTX to UST monotherapy, or a withdrawal of continuous MTX therapy in patients with newly initiated Ustekinumab (UST) treatment or simultaneously induction of MTX with UST in naive active PsA-patients will influence outcome measurements. So, the purpose of the study is to analyse the effects of blinded MTX-co-medication on outcome in patients treated with UST: Non-inferiority at week 24 of UST monotherapy compared to add-on to MTX in patients with active PsA and at least 12 weeks of MTX treatment prior to screening or who are actually not treated with MTX and do not have prior inadequate response to MTX-treatment for PsA will be demonstrated.

Comparative Study to Evaluate the Pharmacokinetics of BAT2506 vs Simponi® in Healthy Subjects

It is a randomized, double-blinded, single-dose, 2-arm parallel, comparative study to evaluate the pharmacokinetics and safety of BAT2506 Injection vs Simponi in healthy chinese male subjects A total of 182 subjects are planned to be included and randomized at a ratio of 1:1 to receive single subcutaneous administration of 50mg BAT2506 Injection or Simponi® (EU-licensed ). The study has a screening period of 14 days. PK blood samples will be collected from subjects to determine the serum concentration of Golimumab, thus to evaluate the change and similarity of the pharmacokinetics of the two study drugs. The investigator will perform safety evaluation for vital signs, physical examinations, injection site reaction, ECG, clinical laboratory tests and adverse events throughout the study. Immunogenicity evaluation (ADA, ADA titration and nAb) will also be evaluated.

Impact of Decision-Framing in Psoriasis

Rationale: Shared decision-making models between clinicians and patients are critical to improving healthcare delivery and adherence to medication. One type of model, decision framing, is rarely studied in medicine. Decision framing is the way that a choice is worded. In a clinical context, patient choices can be worded positively, or "gain-framed", to explain the benefits of a therapy or negatively, or "loss-framed", to explain the risks of not taking a therapy. Previous literature suggests that decision-framing can significantly influence patients' decision-making regarding their healthcare. However, a critical gap exists in understanding how decision framing affects psoriasis patients' preferences for therapies. Objective: Determine whether loss-framed messages lead to greater therapy acceptance as compared to gain-framed messages among adults with psoriasis. Study population: 90 adults with psoriasis will be enrolled from USC ambulatory clinics and the general public. Intervention: Subjects will be exposed to gain-framed or loss-framed messages regarding psoriasis therapies. Specifically, gain-framed messages will explain the expected benefits of taking the psoriasis therapy and loss-framed messages will explain the potential risks of not taking the psoriasis therapy. Study Methodology: Cross-sectional single-intervention survey.

PsoBest - The German Psoriasis Registry

Treatment of moderate to severe Psoriasis (Pso) and Psoriasis-Arthritis (PsA) is largely confined to systemic therapy in Germany. Systemic therapy includes conventional systemic therapy (e.g. fumaric acids, methotrexate, ciclosporin A) and biological treatment (e.g. adalimumab, etanercept). While short- and middle-term efficacy of most systemic treatments has been shown in clinical studies (and is incorporated in international guidelines), knowledge about long-term outcomes, optimal treatment and effectiveness under real-world conditions is still missing. PsoBest, the German registry on the treatment of moderate to severe Pso and PsA started in 2008 and documents the long-term course of patients being administered any biologic or conventional systemic antipsoriatic drug authorized in Germany for the first time. The registry evaluates the long-term course of 3,500 patients with Pso and PsA treated with systemic antipsoriatics.
