Preliminary Validation of an in Vitro Diagnosis-medical Device for Hepatitis B Screening

The principale objective of the study is to perform a first step of technical adjustment and preliminary validation of a diagnostic test for hepatitis B (HBsAntigen, anti-HBs Antibody and anti-HBc Antibody) on capillary blood with the device under study in non-immunized subjects against hepatitis B, in subjects with hepatitis B, in subjects with old or cured hepatitis B and in hepatitis B vaccine recipients, compared with the values obtained with the reference technique of medical biology laboratory on serum. The analysis will be performed on the entire cohort.

Hepatitis B en Haitian Immigrants in Chile: Molecular Characterization and Determination of Vaccine Response

International migration to Chile has sharply increased since 2010. Particularly, Haitian migration now totals approximately 200.000 people. Preliminary results show a high prevalence of hepatitis B infection in this population. Approximately 35% of adult Haitian migrants in Chile have been exposed to hepatitis B infection. In this study the investigators aim to study the clinical and molecular characteristics of this infection and also to assess the serological response to an accelerated schedule of hepatitis B vaccination (0, 1 and 2 months).

Immunogenicity of 2 Versus 3 Doses of Combined Hepatitis B Vaccines in 2-18 Months Old Children

The main objective of this study is to compare the immunogenicity of the hepatitis B component in children vaccinated with (I) two doses of Infanrix-hexa administered at 2 and 12 months of age versus (II) one dose of Infanrix-hexa and one dose of Twinrix administered respectively at 2 and 12 months of age versus (III) three doses of Infanrix-hexa administered at 2, 4 and 18 months of age (comparator).

To Study the Efficacy of PEG-IFN Alpha in HBeAg Negative Chronic Hepatitis B Patients After Stopping Nucleotide Analogue Therapy.

Study population:Person with HBeAg negative CHB on TDF/ETV for more than 1 year Study design:Prospective,Interventional (single arm study) Sample size: All the patients fulfilling the inclusion criteria will be included in first 6 months and subsequently followed up for 2 years Intervention: Peg IFN 2b 1.5mcg/kg once every week for 48 weeks Monitoring and assessment: LFT,HBV DNA and HbsAg at baseline, 4 weeks, 12 weeks,24 weeks,48 weeks ,72 weeks and 96 weeks, CBC every month and Thyroid function Test every 3rd month Adverse effects: The most frequently reported side effects of IFN-based therapy are flu-like symptoms, headache, fatigue, myalgia, alopecia, and local reaction at the injection site. Peg-IFN have myelosuppressive effects; however, neutropenia\1000/mm3 and thrombocytopenia \500,000/ mm3 are not common unless patients already have cirrhosis

Additionally, the investigators will determine the risk factors for HBV infection and the uptake of screening, vaccination and antiviral treatment in this hard-to-reach Turkish population.

Optimized Treatment of Peginterferon Alfa 2a in Treatment Experienced Patients With HBV Related Liver Fibrosis

Compared to TDF, peginterferon alfa 2a may has more therapeutic efficacy in hepatitis B surface antigen or e antigen seroconversion and anti-tumor occurrence in chronic hepatitis b patients. We design this study to compare the effectiveness and safety between the combination therapy of TDF and peg-IFN with TDF alone in NAs experienced patients with HBV related liver fibrosis. Especially the improvement of liver fibrosis and the occurrence of long-term end-stage liver disease such as cirrhosis, liver cancer, etc.

This is a preliminary trial of a Hepatitis B vaccine (Heplisav-B) in medically immunosuppressed patients. The purpose of this study is to test the ability of Heplisav-B to produce high levels of antibody that neutralize the virus and prevent hepatitis B from coming back. Another important purpose is to test the safety of this vaccine in patients taking immune suppressive medicines.

The purpose of the study is to determine how effective preemptive tenofovir therapy is in preventing the re-activation of Hepatitis B infection, in patients who are receiving rituximab-based chemotherapy for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma or CLL/SLL. The rate of re-activation will be compared between patients who receive preemptive tenofovir and patients who receive tenofovir as needed.

The Efficacy and Safety of Nucleos(t)Ide Analogues in the Treatment of HBV-related Acute-on-chronic Liver Failure

HBV-related acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF) is a clinical syndrome defined as acute hepatic insult with diagnosed or undiagnosed chronic liver disease. Current clinical guidelines advocate oral antiviral treatment in HBV-related ACLF. However, no conclusion on which nucleoside analogue is the most satisfactory drug for the treatment of HBV-related liver failure has not been reached yet. In this cohort study, the investigators will compare the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of tenofovir alafenamide (TAF), Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate (TDF) and entecavir (ETV) in HBV-related ACLF in China.
